Open Days

Want to study Earth Sciences? Thinking of coming to Oxford University? Come and visit us during one of our Open Days!

The University holds three Undergraduate Open Days per year - two in late June or early July, and one in September. These Open Days allow you to see the Department in action and allow you talk to staff, students, and other visitors.

The next Undergraduate Open Days will take place on 2nd and 3rd July 2025. We look forward to welcoming you to the Department of Earth Sciences!

What to Expect

During the Undergraduate Open Days, we open the doors of the Department to prospective students, and their families and supporters, from all over the world.

We run a schedule of talks, including more general information sessions and rapid research talks, as well as a variety of stalls in our atrium for you to explore.

Want to see more of our building? Join a tour with our friendly Student Ambassadors, who can tell you all about what it's like to study at Oxford Earth Sciences!

Some of our Tutors will be available on the day to answer your questions. We will supply information about their availability and locations on the day at our Welcome Desk in the Department.

Representatives from the Department will also be at various college events (check college websites for more information) and roaming around the science area throughout the day - please do stop us and say hi!

How to Find Us

The Department of Earth Sciences is located on South Parks Road, Oxford. A map and address information can be found here. Or just look out for our student ambassadors, who can guide you on your way!
